Vonbethe
About the Artist
Vonbethe shares work from the coastal stillness of British Columbia to the vibrant rhythms of Jharkhand, India, and now finally finds home as an artist in the gentle beauty of Southern Ontario. Her work is nourished by memory, place, and faith—each canvas a quiet echo of the life she has lived and the Spirit that shapes her journey.
God moved Vonbethe her from Ontario to B.C., back to Ontario, and back and forth between Ontario and India. With each uprooting and replanting, she struggled with feeling displaced, not belonging and wondering “Am I home yet?” That, combined with previous traumas leaving her feeling scarred, broken, and damaged, her life became about survival. She shared: “to take care of my children and survive for them, clinging to God as a broken shell of the woman I had become. But God had a different plan, and in these last four years it has been in my paintings that God has revealed to me who I am to Him. Through my paintings did I realize He cleansed the trauma, took me in hand, and recreated me. I am home with Him.”
Painting primarily in acrylics on canvas, she has developed a soft, expressive hand—one that holds tenderness in each brushstroke and always grounded in themes of worship, healing, and identity. Her voice as an artist continues to grow—bold in purpose, gentle in tone, and deeply rooted in lived and spiritual truth.

Landscapes of Utterance
This contemplative collection reflects Vonbethe’s spiritual connection to land & the healing presence of God through creation. Each landscape is painted with a quiet reverence—brushstrokes shaped by emotion and prayer. In expressing the majesty and intimacy of nature, the artist found restoration, hearing God’s voice through rivers, mountains, and stillness.
India's Rhythm of Peace
Vibrant, story-driven, and full of charm, this series draws from Vonbethe’s time immersed in Indian culture. Inspired by folk traditions and daily life, the works weave joy, memory, and sacred reflection. Her tender approach to colour and character speaks of healing and belonging—where humour, warmth, and worship dance together on the canvas.
